Posting Guidelines

-Make sure you post recipes that you've actually made before. I know all too well that sometimes a recipe will look great on paper (or on a blog), but it will go horribly wrong when actually prepared.

-Be sure to include ingredients and directions in your posts. You can also write a little preface, personal notes/tips, or include a picture with your recipe. No need to be formal, just have fun with it!

- It's really helpful if you use labels with your posts. It makes a site easier to navigate and search. Try to choose only a few labels that show the highlights of the recipe, those that really characterize your post. For example, if you posted a lasagna recipe, you could choose the labels: "Beef," "Noodles," and "Cheese," rather than using labels for each and every ingredient in the recipe (i.e. "Beef," "Noodles," "Ricotta," "Parmesan," "Onion," "Tomatoes," "Tomato Sauce," and "Eggs.").

-I would love if blog contributors would include their name as one of the labels in each post so visitors to our site can easily search for recipes by a certain author. So, if I posted the lasagna recipe mentioned above, my labels would read: "Beef," "Noodles," "Cheese," and "Brittney."

- If you post a recipe from another source (cookbook, website, etc.), please be sure to credit the original source. If you shared a recipe you found online, you could even provide a link back to the website or blog you found it on.
